In the last 50 years, SCSIO has engaged in collaboration with more than 40 nations and regions, including those in developed countries such as the United States, Japan, Australia, and some European countries; in the meanwhile, SCSIO has strengthened its relationship with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries around the South China Sea. More than 150 consulting or cooperation projects are carried out annually.
