We biochemically reveal the unique and novel enzymatic mechanisms embedded in the biosynthesis of complex microbial natural products, and exploit such enzymes (e.g., glycosyltransferase, methyltransferases, halogenases and oxidoreductases) for structurally diversification of natural products.
