Professor Danling Tang gave lectures for COSPAR International Training Workshop

Professor Danling Tang of the South China Sea Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was invited to give lectures for the International Training Workshop on “Remote Sensing of Atmospheric Aerosols and Their Impacts” which was held in Delhi, India in January 2011.

The workshop was organized by Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) and hosted by Sharda University in Delhi, India. Internationally renowned scholars were invited to give lectures to the training; students came from more than ten countries. Professor Tang gave lectures titled “Impacts of Atmospheric Aerosols and Typhoon on Marine Phytoplankton” to the training. Jiujuan Wang, a PhD student of Professor Tang, received support from COSPAR to attend the training.

COSPAR was established in 1958. It is the world's largest professional organization in space research. It has more than 50 national and international academic organizations capable of space research. Professor Danling Tang now is the Vice-president of COSPAR Sub-mission “A2-Ocean Dynamics and Productivity”.
