DanLing Tang edited “Remote Sensing of the Changing Oceans” is published by Springer

A new book “Remote Sensing of the Changing Oceans”, edited by Dr. Danling Tang of South China Sea Institute of oceanology (SCSIO), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), is recently published by Springer.

The book consists of 19 chapters and is divided into five parts. It is a comprehensive account of the basic concepts, theories, methods and applications used in ocean satellite remote sensing. The book provides a synthesis of various new ideas and theories and discusses a series of key research topics in oceanic manifestation of global changes as viewed from space. The authors review the changing oceans at different levels, including Global and Regional Observations, Natural Hazards, Coastal Environment and related scientific issues, all from the unique perspective of Satellite Observation Systems. The book can serve as important reference books and teaching reference books for related research areas.

Springer is the world's top academic presses; as "scientific language" in the world, it has a wide influence and high academic standards.

DanLing Tang (Lingzis) received her Ph.D. from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She has contacted research in the filed of satellite remote sensing of marine ecology and environment for many years, now is a professor of DCSIO, CAS.
