Professor Rongtuan Lin from McGill University visited SCSIO
On invitation of Prof. Qiwei Qin of LMB, Prof. Rongtuan Lin, Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, McGill University, Canada, visited SCSIO on May 20. During his visit, Prof. Lin gave a presentation titled “Regulation of RIG-I Dependent Innate Immune Response”. He introduced the recent research progress in his lab, including the roles of IRF3 and IRF7 in antiviral innate immune, the roles of IRF7 in anti-tumor process and the roles of RIG-I agonist induced RIG-I signal in preventing H1N1 replication. Most of the students and young scientists are interested in his research and discussed scientific issues with him after the presentation.
During Prof. Lin’s visit, Prof. Qin also briefly introduced his group’s work on IRFs from grouper. Professor Lin shared their experiences on studying the IRFs in antiviral innate immune, and possible cooperation was discussed accordingly.
